The Machinery Division deals with automobiles, ships, industrial machinery, and aircraft, with the European Machinery Division unifying its managerial structure and that of its subsidiaries and associated companies. By strengthening our relationship with major local partners located in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the CIS area, the prominence of the department's business engineering capabilities will increase over a wide range of products.

With regard to the automotive business Mitsui Automotive Europe (MAE), which is one of our key profit drivers, is able to establish a strong business portfolio covering business areas from car-dealership to automotive financing and car auction services. Our partners include amongst othersToyota Motor, Yamaha Motor, Subaru and Hino Motors.

Through our activities in the shipping business, we are providing comprehensive services for customers and operators at all levels of the value chain, from sales, chartering and operation to used vessel intermediation and the marketing of shipbuilding equipment; we are a sophisticated marketing company within a volatile industry. Due to such trusted activities, we are able to work closely with regional ship owners, as well as operators such as major food and energy companies.

Due to our activities in construction and industrial machinery, we support the distribution chains for KOMATSU (construction and mining products) and for FANUC (automation systems and robotic products in Europe and the CIS area). Our credibility depends not only on our powerful distribution network but also on our ability to offer total services such as financing and marketing skills.
